Pilot Goodies

Today I finally ordered a few Pilot pens I have been meaning to buy for some time. I'm always apprehensive of buying pens with Fine nibs instead of Extra Fine nibs, but the general consensus is that these Pilot F nibs write like an EF nib does.

If that's the case, great! If not... well, they'll end up on eBay at some point.

  1. Pilot Prera - Lime Green, F nib.
  2. The Prera has been recommended to me by more than a few people, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I had a tough time deciding between the Ivory and the Lime Green, but in the end my love of the colour green won out over good taste. ;)
  3. Pilot Legno 89s - Deep Red Cherry Wood, 14K F nib.
  4. This pens looks soooo cute! Like the Prera, it's a very small pen with the flat-top styling that I love.
  5. Pilot Desk Pen - Red, EF nib.
  6. I have a couple of these pens already, but the EF nibs are just so amazing that I had to have another - the line these pens lay down rivals that of my 0.2mm/XXXF Needlepoints.

Now, what colour ink do you fill a Lime Green pen with...?

  1. True that. I purchased a Pilot VP with the fine nib, and, atough I am happy that it is "fine", sometimes I wonder if it is too fine (OTOH, I purchased a Lamy 2000, and the opposite happened). Good writting!

  2. Hi. I'm thinking of getting the Pilot Prera. Wondering if you still like the pen after your initial impressions? Thanks.

  3. The Prera is a great pen! I am really happy with mine. I think it is a pen everyone should own - inexpensive, reliable and just plain good value. :)

  4. Thanks so much!:) Would you know whether the Prera's fine nib writes as fine as the Lamy Safari's extra fine, or finer? I've read that it's really teensy!

  5. The Prera F is finer than a Lamy EF for sure. If you think of the Pilot F as a Extra Extra Fine, you would not be far off the mark!

  6. That's great! Thanks! BTW, I'm thinking it will be great if you have a search function on your blog. Not sure whether it can be done with Blogger as I'm not familiar with it. Thanks and cheers, Ruby

  7. There should be a search box in the top left-hand corner of the page, with a "Search Blog" button. I checked, and it shows up in the major browsers. I'm not sure why you aren't seeing it - it's a standard Blogger element.

  8. Oh yes, silly me. I was looking within the blog's template :p That's how it appears in Wordpress. Thanks! :D
